Mike Ellerbrock 2010-2011

Dr. Mike Ellerbrock is currently a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics.

He was formerly assistant vice president for academic affairs at East Texas State University, where Dr. Ellerbrock received the Distinguished Faculty Teaching Award.

He has been editor of the AAEA Newsletter and serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Council on Economic Education.

Dr. Ellerbrock is a recipient of the Virginia Tech Sporn Award and the Southern Agricultural Economics Annual Teaching Award. In 2002, he was awarded the USDA/NASULGC National Award for Teaching Excellence for all fields of agriculture, natural resources, and human and veterinary sciences.

He conducts training in conflict resolution via the Virginia Natural Resources Leadership Institute, and is also head of the Center for Economic Education at Virginia Tech.
